About Me

By day, I'm a graphic designer and web manager. I spent the first 5 years of my career in publishing. In 2007, I moved into my current job, which represented a bit of change in my career trajectory. I currently spend half of my time researching technical aspects of web design, programming and social media. The other part of my time is spent producing communication pieces including an annual report, program-specific newsletters, email newsletters and postcards.

By night, I work on Shock Watson as well as play a lot of 2D fighting games, specifically SNK titles. I recently finished a long-running arcade stick project. I stripped out a Mad Catz SE FightStick, replaced the graphics and all of the compnents including the hardware and PCBs and rebuilt it from the ground up as a PS2 pad-hacked stick.

My mission
In 2009, I got back into comics. After spending some time on the 11 o'clock Comics forum, I started sketching and posting my sketches. Several members provided some very constructive criticism and encouraged me to draw more. I was also reading the web comics these artists were creating. This inspired me.

At the end of 2009, I decided to create 48 pages of comics over the course of 2010.
